É fato que o acesso à internet proporciona um amplo rol de benefícios que interferem na qualidade de vida humana. Nesse sentido, a inclusão digital se faz necessária, a fim de que as pessoas incluídas – isto é, que possuem acesso à internet – possam desfrutar dos benefícios que o mundo digital/virtual traz.

Os benefícios vão além de ter acesso a e-mails, cursos à distâncias, pesquisas, conteúdos culturais, como também acesso contas de instituições financeiras, fazer investimentos com mais facilidade, agilidade e com mais opções do mercado.

A tarefa de promover a inclusão e interação social digital é desempenhada, em muitos casos, pelas Organizações da Sociedade Civil (OSCs) – que se trata de associações e fundações sem fins lucrativos, com personalidade jurídica própria. Tendo isso em vista, a Pepita irá promover apoio para as OSCs, principalmente, em projetos que versem sobre a inclusão digital social.
